Additionally, Gujarat cities have secured ₹18,395 crore from the Union government through various schemes, further boosting financial support for urban initiatives. The state's persistent focus on fortifying public infrastructure and civic amenities has been evident in landmark projects like GIFT City, Surat Diamond Bourse, Dholera SIR, and Sabarmati Riverfront, contributing to Gujarat's reputation as one of the most urbanized states in India.
