Chennai Metro Rail grants a Rs. 137.86 crore contract to Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services for Line 5's E&M, fire protection, ventilation, and air-conditioning. The 2.2-year project on the 44.6 km Pink line, from Madhavaram to Sholinganallur, covers 22 elevated stations, including viaducts, for Phase-II of the Chennai metro. The scope involves supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and training.
