The Rajasthan order has been awarded by a new customer and covers the Balance of System (BOS) package. The project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 0.80 million tonnes after commissioning.
The South African order has been awarded by a repeat customer and covers a turnkey EPC package for two BESS projects. With a combined storage capacity of 616 MWh, the project will be SWREL's second-largest utility-scale BESS project.
The company said the orders strengthen its presence in both solar EPC and energy storage markets. The Rajasthan project expands its domestic renewable energy portfolio, while the South African BESS contract adds to its international energy storage business.
