Solex Energy to Invest Rs 4,000 Cr in Solar Cell and BESS Facility In Gujarat

Solex Energy Limited has signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat to invest Rs 4,000 crore in setting up an integrated solar cell manufacturing facility along with a battery energy storage system (BESS) project.

The project includes development of a 5 GW solar cell manufacturing plant and a 10 GW BESS project, aimed at strengthening renewable energy manufacturing capacity in the state. The solar facility will be developed in phases, with 2 GW capacity in the first phase and an additional 3 GW in the second phase.

The proposed project is expected to support Gujarat’s emergence as a clean-tech manufacturing hub while boosting domestic solar manufacturing and energy storage capabilities.
