BKT Showcases Advanced Off-Highway Tyres Products from EARTHMAX & MULTIFORCE Series

BKT
BKT Tyres’ advanced range of off-highway products are designed to meet the diverse needs of construction, mining, and material-handling operations. Our products in the EARTHMAX range include the BKT EARTHMAX SR53 L-5 and the BKT EARTHMAX SR468 E-4, both engineered for load-bearing capability and safety in the most demanding environments. The rubber track BKT MULTIFORCE BK T92 MC provides superior handling and traction on paved surfaces as well as smooth transitions between loose and hard terrains, resulting in peak efficiency even in challenging tasks.

“The EARTHMAX and MULTIFORCE offerings reflect years of R&D, local expertise, and engineering excellence,” said, Ashok Chhajer, Senior General Manager – OTR Sales, Balkrishna Industries Ltd. “BKT supplies tyres for 190-metric-ton dump trucks in the domestic market. We are the sole Indian supplier in this retail category, offering customers complete value for money along with comprehensive service support. As a result, we are receiving repeat orders not only from OEMs but also from end-users such as Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries. The product has consistently outperformed expectations. By combining cutting-edge technology with real-world application insights, BKT continues to create solutions that maximize performance, efficiency, and longevity.”

The company also displayed its rubber tracks (which are yet to be officially launched and are currently in the final stage of validation.) “This marks our entry into a new segment in the domestic market, and the response has been encouraging, with inquiries already coming in. In India, we are pioneers in rubber tracks, being among the first to introduce them. BKT’s tyres and tracks are engineered to deliver stronger traction, optimized rolling resistance, and extended service life, ensuring fewer replacements and improved total lifecycle cost for both OEMs and contractors. We believe that choosing the right tyre begins with understanding the terrain and ensuring that load capacity is perfectly matched to the equipment’s gross vehicle weight rating. The market is gradually shifting towards tracked equipment because, as machines become heavier, stability and traction become increasingly critical, and this where our rubber tracks offer a strong advantage.”

Rishi Raj Singh, Head OE sales, APAC, Balkrishna Industries Ltd. said, “For off-highway applications, we operate across three segments: industrial & construction, mining, and agriculture. The OTR tyre market is experiencing strong growth driven by large-scale national development projects and rising equipment demand. Tyre manufacturers are also focusing on advanced rubber compounds and improved tread designs that enhance cut resistance, traction on rough terrains. Additionally, sustainability is emerging as a key priority, driving a stronger focus on longer-lasting tyres and the adoption of more environmentally conscious materials and processes. Focusing on industrial and construction for 2025, when TREM V was introduced, OEMs stocked machines in December to sustain sales through April, which impacted volumes. However, as we look ahead, we are optimistic about a 5–10% growth in 2026, supported by a pickup in construction and mining equipment sales, translating into higher tyre volumes.”

“Mining demand has already shown a marginal improvement in 2025 versus 2024, reinforcing confidence in a sustained recovery and growth trajectory. Furthermore, with the Indian government announcing major infrastructure initiatives such as road projects and other development programs, demand for construction equipment is set to rise. We are witnessing strong growth in port and port-handling equipment as well, where we already have a strong presence and supply tyres in significant volumes.”
