Business Fuel showcased its unique online trading services and solutions for the heavy machinery industry under its metacrust.com initiative. The recently launched Bangalore-based start-up is an end-to-end e-commerce platform acting as a Resource Centre, Decision Support System and a Ready Reckoner for the CE industry.
Surya Prakash, Co-Founder & CEO, says, "We offer a range of online solutions from selling new equipment to providing information on used equipment, and on rentals, leasing, financing options, spares, and after-sales services. There are 11 industry verticals represented on our portal. These broadly comprise of construction equipment, cranes, drilling, material handling and marine. We are continuously looking to upgrade our portal and by bringing in newer manufacturers on board, as well as dealers and service providers, so as to ensure right product and service availability to end-users of heavy equipment across the entire country."
As per the company's market research, end-users in the heavy equipment industry have to deal with issues such as information gap on product type and availability, different pricing across regions due to different taxes being levied, inability to make proper comparisons between similar products of different brands, difficulty in financing, inaccessibility of spare parts, etc. Metacrust's objective is to be a one-stop solution to address all these concerns.
OEMs too have to contend with issues such as unqualified leads, increased cost of marketing, lead nurturing, and building customer rapport. "Metacrust aims to eliminate most of the pain points faced by the people engaged in the heavy equipment industry. No other e-commerce player or platform has made this kind of effort to bring in this kind of one click or one call platform for the heavy machines industry where most of the transactions largely remain offline," says Surya.
