Volvo Penta to promote mid & high horse power engines in India

Taking cognizance of emerging requirements of medium and high horse power engines from construction equipment sector for maximum equipment uptime, Volvo Penta, the Volvo Groups sales channel to the external engine market is planning to introduce medium and high horse power engines in the Indian market.

During an interaction with NBM&CW at Excon 2013, Mr. Prabhakaran, Vice President - Volvo Penta, India said, "We are planning to introduce engines ranging from 140 – 320 HP for the versatile application and captive power generation sector in India during next year. These engines will be marketed directly to various equipment manufacturers.

"As usual our emphasis will be to minimize the total cost of ownership with our engines that will provide value addition to the end customers" says Prabhakaran.
