Mining & Construction Equipment Division (M&CE) of Voltas Limited has been serving the cause of mechanization and modernization for almost 50 years, serving as a vital value-adding link between manufacturers, suppliers, and end-users. Cranes Division of construction equipment wing is manufacturing Rough Terrain Cranes at its ISO9001 certified Works situated at Thane. The crane division of M&CE is providing the Indian market some of the finest machines in the world like KOBELCO crawler cranes and Tower Cranes from SYM & FINEHOPE. It is a totally dedicated part of M&CE with a clear vision of capturing huge market in the coming future. As technology transforms the style and scale of the core infrastructure sector, Crane Division plays a vital role in making the latest and most efficient construction equipment available to Indian end users, especially for power plants, steel plants, refineries; construction sites and real estate. With growing thrust and investment in infrastructure development, M&CE's range of construction equipment – especially cranes cater to major infrastructure projects, ports, power and refineries.

Today, M&CE supports over 1000 equipment in India through its nation wide network of 22 sales & service offices and 5 warehouses, conveniently situated at job sites. Equipped with a highly professional support engineering team, the division offers a variety of value added services like Annual Service Contracts, Annual Maintenance Contracts, Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts, Complete Overhauls & Refurbishing and Training for operators & maintenance crew at job sites.

Voltas is participating in bC India Exhibition in Mumbai and will display its wide range of product line that includes: Jaw crushers, Cone crushers, Mine ventilation fans, and so on) and its new associations.

In addition to existing crushers and cranes, the company has associated with Terex washing systems which offers an extensive products portfolio to work in many applications supporting customers in the washing minerals industry. Besides this, it will also distribute Matec products which specialize in the design & development of waste water purification and filtration plants for many industries. Matec has already installed more than 150 purification plants all over the world.

Voltas has also associated with Shangdong Huate Magnet Technology Co. Ltd for Electromagnetic and Powder equipment and with Simem for concreting equipment such as mixers, stationary plants, mobile plants, recycling plants, and concrete distribution systems.

According to Mr. Anirudhha Moharir, the company's Deputy General Manager – Cranes Division, "bC India is an opportunity for Voltas to exhibit all new products being launched and new associations, tie-ups undertaken. It also gives us the platform to renew relationships with existing customers and meet new customers which will lead to generating business."

Foreseeing a robust growth of the CE Industry, he quips, "Notwithstanding that the world was facing global economic meltdown the Indian economy has performed well and registered a high level of growth and continues to be the center of significant economic activities. India is aiming to develop infrastructure countrywide and planning to invest in this sector $1Trillion during the 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17). We see the CE market growing with the upcoming Infrastructure development in India and Voltas is ready to play a major role by distributing equipment to roads, power plants, petroleum refinery plants, and construction sector."
