Jaideep Shekhar, MD (Asia & EMEAR), Terex Materials Processing India
How was your experience at this year’s EXCON?
The show was excellent! We booked orders for all machines which were displayed on the stand. They included our two Powerscreen Hybrid machines, Cedarapids MVP Cone Crusher, Terex MPS VSI2050, Evoquip conveyor and several units of our wash plant. Franna FR-17, especially, saw a lot of demand, and there were many key handovers. Buyers knew about the Franna brand, but they got to see it for the first time at EXCON, and there were around 25-30 serious inquiries from potential buyers.
Customers also got to see our new electric hybrid machines like the dual power Finlay 883+ screener, which can be used in mining operations and for handling municipal solid waste; our Terex MPS VSI 2050 vertical shaft impactor with a MVP (made in India) cone crusher; and our EVOQUIP brand of small, compact equipment, which includes the track-mounted crushing and screening equipment and conveyors.
What is the applicability of your EVOQUIP range?
Consider places like hilly areas or hilly terrains where there is a problem in moving machines. Our target regions are Nepal, the Northeast, J&K, and Himachal Pradesh where compact, track-mounted impactors and screens will find a lot of application.

How was FY 21-2022 for Terex?
Our last FY, which ended in December 2021, saw a significant growth over 2020. This FY, we expect approx. 15%-20% YOY growth. The market is going strong despite the challenges in raw material supply, high freight rates and logistics issues. We are confident that the demand will remain robust in near team and we are planning a further expansion at our factory at Hosur this year.
