NEW AGE gondolas serve prestigious Trump Tower project of - Lodha Group in Mumbai

Tall buildings have special importance and a visual advantage due to their height and dominance over other elements in the surroundings. High rises have now become a necessity in metro cities due to limited availability of land. Tall, majestic structures are also an expression of progress and modernity. New Age Construction Equipment Engineering Company has been developing high-rise structures with their Rope Suspended Platforms (RSP/Gondolas), which are well accepted across India for enabling high quality external painting, facade and civil works.

The company is providing external solutions at the famous Trump Tower project in Mumbai, a high-rise residential project of 280m height, being developed by the Lodha Group, which is also developing World One - a residential skyscraper under construction in Mumbai. It is set to become the tallest residential tower in the world on completion. New Age has supplied 49 RSPs to the Lodha Group.

The Execution: New Age's professional team of sales, services and design personnel discussed the project requirements, challenges and expected solutions with the project's engineering team. The machines were planned to work in 2 phases: The first phase was from 63 floors and then finally from the terrace level. There were many challenges and considerations like the working height, working in duct areas, front folding extension in platforms, parapet clamps designing and approval, meeting safety parameters, planning for on-time services and spare parts arrangement, shifting of the machines, ensuring safety at all times and meeting daily timelines.

Solutions: Model ZLP-1000 was recommended for the project. The machines are equipped with all advance safety devices; they have 1000-kg loading capacity, 7.5m length, and galvanised. The customization of front folding extension added a unique element to their ease of use in the project. The parapet clamps were also recommended for the duct areas where counterweight-based suspension mechanisms were not possible.

All safety parameters were considered in the 1st phase, which included submission of numerous documents such as HIRA, SOP related to OH&S, drug & alcohol policy, daily check-list, etc. Arrangements were made for a permanent service team at site to solve any technical errors at the earliest, labourers were hired, and stocking of spare parts was done to minimize breakdown/downtime of the machines.

Our machines are working since February 2018 and different agencies servicing the project with painting, façade work, grinding, BMU etc, and civil contractors are using our installed RSPs. The 3rd party safety inspections and safety precautions are mandatory for all users, and at all times.
