In its endeavor to keep bringing intelligent features in its products, Liebherr offers a unique product that combines the features of two cranes into one: it’s mobile construction crane in the MK series has the mobility features of a classic mobile crane along with the functional benefits of a tower crane.
The extremely maneuverable taxi cranes in the MK series are designed for one-man operation, which saves the additional expense on personnel required for transport and erection. The crane operator can drive, erect and operate the cranes using remote control in a height adjustable operator cabin. The vertical tower enables the crane to get very close to the building so that entire jib length can be used at all times.
With their variable steering and active rear axle steering, the cranes can be moved into almost any gap, and can be used for various applications in a single job day. They have the chassis of an art truck and electronic modes of travel are available for assisting the operator.
MK mobile construction cranes are most suitable where space is a constraint, as they require very little space to assemble and operate. The cranes are available in two models: MK88 with maximum 8-ton capacity and 45m jib with tip load of 2.2 tons. MK140 has a maximum 8-ton capacity, with jib of 58.5m and tip load of 1.9 tons.
