ElectroMech
Mr. Tushar Mehendale, Managing Director, ElectroMech
Describing in detail about the company’s plan for the show Mr. Tushar Mehendale, Managing Director, ElectroMech says, “We will showcase our gantry cranes which are widely used across the infrastructure and construction sector. Our innovation in the development of the high lift high speed tunnel mucking system which recently received the prestigious ‘Manufacturing Today Award for excellence in innovation’ will also be showcased at the show as this innovation is particularly relevant to this industry. Besides these, our joint venture partner Zoomlion is showcasing its range of tower cranes, being manufactured in India. Zoomlion is amongst the top 7 construction equipment manufacturers in the world and a world leader in tower cranes.
bC India is an excellent opportunity for companies in Construction, Infrastructure and Mining industry to display their products to their prospective customers. But most importantly, the event will also provide companies a global platform to communicate and learn from different industry experts. The event will be a huge opportunity for ElectroMech to create a new dimension by having a significant presence at bC India by showcasing its various product and service offerings to industries across various verticals.
Dwelling in detail about the company and its progression he states ElectroMech is a 33-year old company, which was established in 1979. “We have grown from strength to strength over the past few years, while expanding our products portfolio, manufacturing facilities and customer base. Our recent developments have been an infusion of private equity investment by Motilal Oswal Private Equity and a Joint venture agreement with Zoomlion, China for manufacturing and selling their range of tower cranes in India,” he informs.
He elaborated by saying that construction and infrastructure are the two major areas that ElectroMech caters to. The company’s Industrial cranes & hoists play a major role at major infrastructure sites while its Gantry cranes are used for precast segment yards and bridge constructions. Similarly, the specialized hoisting equipment are used for bridge launching girders etc.
Commenting on the Indian infrastructure sector and government proactive approach for its sustainable development he says the infra sector is one of the major and key contributors for the growth of lifting equipment industry in India. Infrastructure projects in India have proven to be the key drivers to support the industry in terms of growth. The government’s decision of investing $1 trillion in the sector has the potential to help in giving a ‘lift’ to lifting equipment industry.
As more infra projects are announced, the positive effects will cascade across industries in terms of rise in demand. Construction equipment, heavy engineering, cement, steel etc. will all grow and provide a much needed boost to other allied industries as well. We certainly expect to see demand rising over the coming financial year; however a target alone will not be enough for this much needed boost. The government needs to meet its own targets for expenditure as well as give impetus for the private sector to invest in infrastructure projects and create an environment that promotes raising funds for investment, he speaks up.
