ColdStar Expands India Network with Three New F&V and Cold Storage Distribution Facilities

ColdStar Logistics, India’s only independent and self-funded national cold chain player and one of the country’s fastest-growing temperature-controlled supply chain companies, has expanded its network with three new facilities—two in Mumbai and one in Sonipat—to cater to the growing demand for fresh and perishable products.
The three new hubs will handle, process, and distribute fruits & vegetables (F&V) and other perishables for leading e-commerce platforms. The Sonipat unit, covering an area of 80,000 sq.ft, has a capacity of 1,70,000 units (65 tonnes) per day, while the Mumbai sites together add 2,20,000 units daily—1,40,000 from the F&V hub and 80,000 from the cold storage unit. Collectively, the facilities bring a handling capacity of 3,200+ tonnes and employ 1,100+ people daily.
“Sonipat is a natural choice due to its proximity to the New Delhi NCR area, while Mumbai remains one of the country’s biggest consumption hubs,” said Sameer Varma, Executive Director, ColdStar Logistics. “Our facilities are built to support the scale and speed modern e-commerce and quick-commerce companies need. We’re proud to partner with one of India’s largest platforms and are already exploring new opportunities in East and Deccan India.”

The expansion underlines ColdStar’s ambition to set new benchmarks in India’s cold chain sector, leveraging technology-driven solutions to move products reliably, fresher, and faster.
With a ‘Never Stock-Out’ promise, the tech-first, AI/ML-powered company is today the fastest-growing market leader, operating 23 strategically located distribution centres that serve 7,000+ pin codes in 200+ cities across India, delivering 1.2 million+ units a month with a 99.9% fill rate. The company not only supports growing 15-minute door-to-door deliveries but also predicts consumer patterns through its supply chain logistics software, designed for the food (Quick Service Restaurants), retail, and healthcare sectors.
