Landslide Closes Ramnagar-Udhampur Road After Heavy Rainfall

The Ramnagar-Udhampur road near Kaugha in Jammu and Kashmir was closed to traffic on Saturday after heavy rainfall triggered a major landslide, blocking the route with debris and large boulders.

Local authorities rushed to the site and deployed earthmoving machinery to clear the debris and restore traffic movement at the earliest.

The landslide disrupted movement for commuters using the Ramnagar-Udhampur route as continuous rainfall increased the risk of slope failures in the region.
