Delhi to Jaipur in 2 Hrs; Electric Bus Service Planned on Expressway

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced plans to introduce electric bus services on the Delhi-Mumbai Express National Highway, aiming to cover the distance from Delhi to Jaipur in two hours, with fares 30% lower than diesel buses. Speaking at the inauguration of 17 road projects in Udaipur, Gadkari highlighted the construction of a 67-kilometer four-lane expressway from Bandikui to Jaipur, slated for completion by November 2024. He emphasized the significance of the Delhi-Mumbai express highway, lauding its animal overpass and pledging to elevate Rajasthan's national highways to international standards by the end of 2024. Additionally, Gadkari highlighted the Centre's investment in express highways in Rajasthan, including the ongoing construction of the Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway.
