The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has announced that registration is open for the Fall 2026 ACI Concrete Convention in Atlanta, Ga. Known as the world’s gathering place for advancing concrete, the convention will take place October 11 – 14, 2026. The official hotel for the ACI Concrete Convention is the Hilton Atlanta.

The Concrete Convention brings together engineers, contractors, educators, manufacturers, and material representatives to discuss and collaborate on concrete codes, specifications, and practices. Attendees will benefit from technical and educational sessions that feature the latest research, case studies, and best practices, along with opportunities to earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Additionally, select programming will be available on demand for those attending virtually.

The Convention boasts a comprehensive schedule with more than 350 committee meetings, more than 60 technical sessions, an industry trade exhibition, and more. All committee meetings are open to attendees. The in-person Convention will highlight companies, projects, research, and more, and will include numerous networking events where attendees can connect with leading professionals in the concrete industry. Participants can also explore the exhibit hall to discover a wide array of products and services offered by exhibitors.

Convention highlights include:

  • Opening Session: The Opening Session, sponsored by Chryso North America, is the official start of the ACI Concrete Convention and will begin with a welcome address by ACI President Scott Anderson on the evening of Sunday, October 11, 2026. The Opening Session will conclude with a keynote presentation. Immediately following the Opening Session, attendees are invited to the exhibit hall for the Opening Reception. Congratulate ACI Awardees, reunite with colleagues, network with new acquaintances, and learn about exhibitors' products and services.
  • ACI Foundation and NEU Summit: On Saturday, October 10, 2026, join us for this informative summit where researchers will report on barriers and solutions identified through a series of stakeholder listening sessions hosted by UC Davis to successfully implement better practices, emerging materials, and technologies in concrete construction. Industry experts will also convey examples of how they are applying these key takeaways to real-world challenges.
  • International Lunch: Join us for the International Lunch on Sunday, October 11, 2026, featuring a presentation titled, “NIST’s Technical Findings of Their NCST Investigation of Champlain Towers South.” This lunch provides attendees with an opportunity to hear about concrete-related topics from an international viewpoint.
  • ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards Gala: The ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards will showcase and honor some of the most creative concrete projects worldwide, nominated by ACI Chapters, ACI International Allied Organizations, and project team members. Project nominations were judged by industry professionals with technical expertise in each of the eight award categories. Join us as we celebrate innovation and inspire excellence throughout the global concrete design and construction community on the evening of Monday, October 12, 2026.
  • Student Mortar Workability Competition: Teams are challenged to create a mortar mixture with optimum flowability and stability. Students are to mix mortar at the ACI Convention competition site, and their mixture will be placed into a mold made in the shape of the letters ACI from the top of the letter “a.” Both flowability and mixture stability will be evaluated. In creating their mortar mixture, teams will have to pay careful attention to the specified material requirements, just as concrete producers must meet specification and project requirements on a daily basis.
  • Concrete Contractor’s Day: Sponsored by the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), join us for Concrete Contractor’s Day on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, for a day of technical sessions and the Concrete Contractor’s Day Lunch with a special presentation.
