NCRTC starts track laying work on Delhi-Meerut RAPID corridor

Out of the 25 stations planned for the corridor, four stations will be located in the capital. The tunneling process in the Delhi section presented several challenges, including the proximity to existing metro viaduct piling structures near New Ashok Nagar, as well as expressways and non-engineered buildings in Patparganj and Khichdipur. However, through strategic planning and innovative methods, these obstacles were overcome successfully. The construction process was executed with utmost precision and precaution to ensure the long-term durability of the structures.
The segments required for the project are being cast at NCRTC's casting yard in Kadkadooma, guaranteeing quality control throughout the manufacturing process. The dedicated efforts of the NCRTC team, coupled with round-the-clock construction work utilizing the Sudarshan 4.1 tunnel boring machine, have enabled the completion of this challenging task.
