With the focus on monitoring the infrastructure projects, the PM has resumed chairing the quarterly review meeting of the infrastructure sector, which is a key for quick revival of the Pandemic hit economy. The PM has gone through the detailed presentation of the certain ministries including, road transport and civil aviation. Before the pandemic, such reviews were conducted every three to four months. The Road and Transport ministry has been asked to make a presentation before the full council of ministers very shortly. Now the government has three full quarters left and the focus would be on quicker implementation of the projects to make up for the time that has been lost due to pandemic.

The PM also reviewed the progress of eight infrastructure projects in the railway, road, and power sectors spread over several states and asked officials to make efforts to complete the ambitious target of providing electricity connection to four 4 crore families within the stipulated timeline. The projects which came under review are spread over Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. He also reviewed the progress in the implementation of the scheme to establish new medical colleges attached with existing districts and exhorted officials for expeditious upgrading of health infrastructure across the country.
