industrial corridor in Jharkhand
The Jharkhand government has directed officials to expedite various road projects across the state and prepare a plan to develop the Govindpur-Jamtara-Dumka-Sahebganj road as an industrial corridor. The CM said that pending road projects would be completed expeditiously. He directed the departmental officers to prepare an action plan for the construction of a dedicated road in the mines area. There is also a plan to develop warehouses, logistics centres or industrial clusters along the corridor.

The problems related to forest clearance and land acquisition for the planned corridor would be resolved at the earliest. Toll plazas are proposed on some roads in the state and toll tax will be charged from goods vehicles. A survey of 425 roads length of 4,856 km has been prepared. Apart from this, there is a plan to develop helipads around important tourist places and mining areas of the state. These projects entail an investment of about ₹3,160 crore. At the same time, 17 road projects have been sent for approval under the State Road Construction Department and 10 projects are to be decided at the level of the State Empowered Committee.
