India Expands NIP to 9,288 Projects worth ₹108.88 lakh cr
The Union government has increased the scope of the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) to include 9,288 projects, up from 6,835, with an ambitious investment target of ₹108.88 lakh crore. NIP encompasses brownfield and greenfield infrastructure projects exceeding ₹100 crore, spanning economic and social infrastructure. This strategic initiative aims to enhance project preparation, attract domestic and foreign investments, and play a pivotal role in achieving the goal of transforming India into a $5 trillion economy by FY25, according to the finance ministry.
