Gujarat initiates Sabarmati Reservoir water linking project

The Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpsar Department has initiated a significant water transmission project in Gujarat. A tender has been floated for the construction of a pipeline to link the Sabarmati Reservoir at Satola village to the villages of Satlasana and Kheralu taluka. The project, to be executed on a design, build, and operate (DBO) basis, encompasses a range of tasks including pipeline laying, pump installation, and infrastructure development.

The contract, valued at Rs 253.56 crore, also includes a 10-year operation and maintenance component. The project is expected to be completed within a span of 24 months. The bid submission deadline is set for September 8, 2023.
