Assam inks ₹13,200-cr infra funding pact with Nabard

NABARD
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned ₹608 crore for different infrastructure projects in rural areas in Assam and also entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Assam government for the facilitation of ₹13,200 crore infrastructure projects over a period of three years. The infrastructure projects include 52 rural roads, 21 rural bridges, 19 flood protection projects, and 32 soil conservation projects under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) – XXVII. Once the projects are completed, it is estimated that 17 lakh rural folk in 900 villages will be directly benefited.
