3-day India Warehousing Summit concludes with a focus on Sustainability, Integrated Supply Chain & Last mile connectivity

With a surge in demand for Warehousing, leaders and knowledge experts from across the industry emphasised the need for sustainability in the warehousing operations and also focused on integrated supply chain solutions in these units. Prominent speakers from varied backgrounds at the 12th India Warehousing Summit echoed the sentiments of bringing efficiency in the supply chain execution to understand what customers want.

With a panel session on Decoding the National Logistics Policy, discussions were also held on prioritising the environment for Sustainable warehousing and Transportation, paving the way for Industry 4.0 in Automation and Digitization in Logistics, besides Looking into the Future of end-to-end Supply Chain and Reskilling and Upskilling in Logistics and Supply Chain.

The event also witnessed the launch of Neo-an ASRS technology by Falcon Autotech-an intralogistics automation solutions provider. "NEO is set to revolutionize the warehousing landscape by offering businesses unparalleled efficiency, enhanced productivity, and streamlined inventory management for order fulfilment and piece-picking operations," said Sandeep Bansal, Chief Business Officer at Falcon Autotech.

A special session was curated on 'Connecting the Warehousing Ecosystem Together' by Warehousing Association of India, addressed by Manu Raj Bhalla, President, WAI informing about their collaboration with TAPA and IFC-World Bank on Warehousing Standards and Training & Certification. He also shared about the workshop with Indian Airforce on Modernisation and Automation of their Warehousing Infrastructure.

For ease of doing business, e-handbook on Warehouse Standardization Edition 2023 by WAI was also presented. More than 200 exhibitors participated in the event, displaying product and solutions on warehouse building solutions, materials handling solutions, storage solutions, automation and packaging for logistics, AIDC and software solutions, logistics service providers, LCV’s and UCV’s and other related services.
