MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Inaugurates LiuGong India's New Manufacturing Plant in Pithampur

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the expansion of LiuGong India’s manufacturing facility in the Pithampur Industrial Area of Dhar district in Indore. The company has invested an additional ₹272 crore for expansion of its existing facility.

The Chief Minister said that the government is committed not merely to making announcements but to delivering development on the ground. He described Pithampur as not only the manufacturing hub of Madhya Pradesh but also the "Manufacturing Gateway" of the country. He noted that the establishment of yet another major global company's industrial facility in Pithampur within a month reflects the growing confidence of investors in Madhya Pradesh. Congratulating the LiuGong Group and its leadership, he said the new facility would give fresh momentum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Make in India, Make for the World".

Dr. Yadav said that, alongside the monsoon showers, Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a "rain of new opportunities" due to rapid industrial growth. The state has hosted five landmark industrial events within just 10 days. It has attracted nearly ₹10,000 crore in foreign direct investment (FDI) over the past two years. LiuGong's decision to expand its production unit in Pithampur further reinforces investors' confidence in the state.

With nearly two decades of operations in Pithampur, the company's new production facility will increase its annual manufacturing capacity from 3,250 to 7,500 machines. The expansion is expected to generate 600 direct jobs and more than 5,000 indirect employment opportunities through ancillary industries and the supply chain. Once production begins at the new plant, the share of components sourced from Indian industries will increase from 40% to 60%, providing a significant boost to the state's MSME, engineering, and auto component sectors.

LiuGong Machinery Co. Ltd. President and Chairman Zheng Xin welcoming Dr. Yadav said, "The Pithampur facility represents our deep-rooted commitment to 'Make in India,' driving advanced manufacturing capabilities, sustainable growth, and innovative engineering designed to empower businesses.”

He added, "The construction equipment industry is entering a major transformation. The future will be more efficient, more connected, more intelligent, more electric, and more environmentally responsible. Across the world, Liugong is investing in green technologies, electrification, intelligent equipment, and sustainable construction solutions. We believe that growth and responsibility must move together. Productivity should improve while reducing environmental impact. Equipment should become more powerful, but also smarter and cleaner. India will be an important part of this global transformation. The new plant gives us a stronger foundation to participate in the future."

Present at the event were over 1,500 people, including LiuGong's customers, dealers, and channel partners. The event highlighted LiuGong India's growing role in India’s infrastructure development and its long-term commitment to innovation, manufacturing expertise, and sustainable development. At the Pithampur facility visitors viewed a wide range of construction equipment including wheel loaders, dozers, excavators, drilling rigs, and mobile crushers.

The country offers immense opportunities, and LiuGong has consistently strengthened its commitment through local manufacturing, skilled employment, advanced technology, and a robust customer support network. The expansion of LiuGong’s factory in Pithampur reflects the company’s confidence in India's infrastructure development future and its own contribution while advancing the vision of Make in India.
