TORSA Sets 5-Year Roadmap In 5 Areas Targets Rs 500 Crore Revenue

TORSA Machines Limited, an Indian manufacturer of crushing and screening equipment, is targeting a Rs 500-crore business over the next five years, a goal it says reflects the scale, capabilities and market relevance it aims to build and not merely a revenue milestone. The company’s growth roadmap will be driven by investments in technology, manufacturing capacity and market expansion, rather than by setting year-on-year financial targets. It will measure progress through execution, including new-product adoption, market expansion, manufacturing scale, customer penetration, lifecycle revenues and the overall strength of the organisation.

Gopi Krishna More, Managing Director, TORSA Machines Limited, said that the five-year goal had been set deliberately high. "It is intentionally a challenging goal, because the TORSA we are building for the future cannot simply be a larger version of the company we are today. To reach that scale, we have to continuously develop new technologies, enter new product and application segments, expand into new markets, strengthen manufacturing and build a much deeper lifecycle relationship with our customers. We see growth opportunities not only in new equipment sales but also in market expansion, higher-value applications, aftermarket services, spares, upgrades and deeper lifecycle relationships with customers."

The company’s roadmap rests on five areas: continued development of indigenous technology and expansion into higher-value crushing, shaping, washing and material-processing solutions; moving from supplying individual machines toward offering more integrated solutions across a customer's material-processing requirements; deepening the company's presence across India while progressively developing selected international markets; building spares, service, upgrades and lifecycle engagement into a larger and more structured part of the business; and investing in manufacturing capability, processes, talent and leadership to support a substantially larger organisation.

The five-year roadmap also marks a shift in how the company defines itself, moving from being recognised primarily as a crushing and screening equipment manufacturer to what it describes as an Indian material-processing technology and lifecycle solutions enterprise. This includes a larger role across a customer's value chain, from application engineering and equipment selection through crushing, shaping, screening and washing to automation, spares, service and lifecycle support. International expansion forms part of this plan, with the company aiming to take equipment developed and proven under demanding Indian operating conditions into selected overseas markets.

TORSA’s product range includes the TEC 10 and TEC 11 cone crushers, the TSH 10, the VORTEX vertical shaft impactor and the EcoCycle sand-washing plant, in addition to its established TJC jaw crusher series, Sievex dry and AquaPro wet screening equipment, the PulseGrizzlyPro, GrizzlyPro and ScalpPro feeder lines, and its Nomad compact-plant offering.

Said Rajkumar More, Chairman Emeritus of TORSA, “When we started out, the ambition was simply to build equipment that could survive Indian conditions and earn a customer's trust. Three decades later, I am seeing the same philosophy carried forward into a new generation of technology."

Vaibhav Dange, Founder, Build India Foundation, said, "Infrastructure development in India depends on manufacturers who understand ground realities, not just technology on paper. TORSA's focus on equipment built for Indian terrain and Indian conditions is exactly the kind of engineering our sector needs.”
