Railways opt for R-350 technology in high-speed trains
The Railways is gearing up to enhance its tracks using high-tech rails known as R-350 as the move is crucial for the operation of high-speed trains. Alongside track upgrades, the railway ministry is implementing various measures to enhance train technology and safety including the installation of an anti-collision system called ‘Kavach’ and the fencing of tracks. The ministry has issued guidelines for the adoption of R-350HT grade rails on its network. These rails have a proven track record globally, eliminating the need for field trials.
