Kolhapur-Vaibhavwadi rail line to come up at Rs 3,411-cr
To improve connectivity between western Maharashtra and Konkan, the National Planning Group has included the Kolhapur-Vaibhavwadi rail line under the PM Gati Shakti program. The railways has earmarked a sum of Rs 3,411 crore for the proposed rail route. The Kolhapur-Vaibhavwadi railway line will make it easier to transport agricultural products from western Maharashtra to the port and vice-versa.
