CMRL plans Tambaram-Velachery light metro rail project
In order to ensure hassle free transport services to the local metro users, Chennai Metro Rail Limited has planned an urban Light Rail Transit System in the city along with the Chennai Metro, Chennai Suburban Railway, and MRTS. Light Rail between Tambaram and Velachery has been declared feasible by CMRL.
