PM Dedicates Rs 1.06 Lakh Cr Development Projects in Rajasthan, Inaugurates Rajasthan Refinery

Dedicating the refinery to the nation, the Prime Minister said the project would generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities while boosting economic activity in the region. He described the refinery as a key milestone in India's journey towards self-reliance in the energy sector and a major contributor to the country's long-term industrial development.
The Prime Minister said the refinery would strengthen India's refining capacity at a time when global energy markets remain volatile. He noted that India has emerged as the world's fourth-largest refining nation and emphasised that expanding domestic refining infrastructure is essential for ensuring energy security and reducing dependence on imports.
Alongside the refinery, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects spanning transport, urban infrastructure, water supply, renewable energy and public services across Rajasthan. These include the new airport terminal at Jodhpur, the foundation stone for Jaipur Metro Phase II, and infrastructure projects aimed at improving connectivity, tourism and industrial development across the state.
He also announced the distribution of appointment letters to around 54,000 government job beneficiaries in Rajasthan and highlighted investments in renewable energy, including solar parks, rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar scheme and solar pumps under PM-KUSUM.
The Prime Minister said the projects would accelerate economic growth, create employment opportunities and strengthen Rajasthan's infrastructure while supporting the state's long-term development.
Highlighting water infrastructure, he referred to the Rs 34,000 crore agreement between Rajasthan and Haryana for an underground pipeline from the Hathnikund Barrage, which is expected to improve water availability in the Shekhawati region.
The Prime Minister said the combined investments across energy, transport, urban infrastructure and water management would significantly enhance Rajasthan's industrial competitiveness and contribute to India's vision of becoming a developed nation.
