J&K approves four new industrial estates to boost infrastructure
The Administrative Council, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, grants approval for the establishment of four new Industrial Estates in Jammu and Kashmir. These estates in Budhi Kathua, Medicity Jammu, Chandgam, and Lelhar Pulwama will cover 1379 kanals with a Rs 136.65 crore investment. The initiative aims to attract investments, foster local employment, and create job opportunities in the private sector. The estates will undergo comprehensive development, including infrastructure, internal roads, electricity availability, water distribution systems, rainwater harvesting, greenery/plantation, and modern facilities like centralized effluent treatment plants. The projects are expected to be completed within 18 months.
