Century Plyboards (India) has decided to set up a new integrated wood panel manufacturing plant at YSR Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh involving an investment of ₹1,600 crore, Chairman, Sajjan Bhajanka informed that the state CM has recently laid the foundations stone for the mega plant. CenturyPly's plant, proposed to be its largest globally, will transform the business scenario in the region where the company will invest ₹800 crore in the first phase. The company has collaborated with the state government of Andhra Pradesh to set up the district's first wood panel manufacturing plant and will contribute in developing Gopavaram into a hub of agro industry. Construction work on the proposed plant is expected to be completed by December 2024.
