Assam-NABARD inks ₹13,200-cr infrastructure pact

NABARD
The state government-owned body Assam Infrastructure Financing Authority AIFA and NABARD inked an agreement to develop ₹13,200 crore infrastructure projects. The funds will essentially be used for infrastructural development for NABARD Infrastructure Development Assistance (NIDA) and Rural Infrastructure Assistance to State Government (RIAS) in rural and semi-urban areas across the state. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that the MoU would launch a series of capital-intensive projects to bring about a paradigm shift in the development covering cold chain and storages, stadiums, tourism centres, engineering and medical colleges, universities, schools would be built over the next three years.
