Vibrant Energy to build 198 mw wind power plant
Vibrant Energy is set to develop a 198 MW wind farm project in Osmanabad, Maharashtra, in collaboration with the e-commerce major Amazon. A power purchase agreement (PPA) has been signed between the two companies for this endeavor. The installation of this wind farm in the state is poised to generate an estimated 6,97,261 MWh of energy annually and is anticipated to offset an impressive 4,94,137 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.
This project marks the company's third PPA with Amazon, further solidifying their ongoing partnership. The initiative is scheduled for commissioning by early 2025. By undertaking this project, the firm aims not only to bolster its collaboration with Amazon but also to contribute significantly to renewable energy production and environmental conservation by adding another wind project in the state.
