Central Railway Issues Tender for Construction Project in Maharashtra

Central Railway has issued a tender for the construction of minor bridges, drains, and track linking in the Kalamb-Yavatmal section as part of the new Broad Gauge (BG) line project in Maharashtra.

The scope of work includes earthwork in embankment & cutting, construction of minor bridges (including RUBs), side drains & catchwater drains, P-way work (track linking), and ballast supply in the Kalamb-Yavatmal section from ch. 40700 to ch. 78200 [excluding tunnel approach from ch. 51250 to ch. 60351] in connection with the Wardha-Nanded via Yavatmal new BG line project.

Valued at Rs 154.63 crore, the contract has a completion period of 18 months, with the due date for bid submission set for May 27, 2024.
