Salem Saleh Al-Hareth Est. Forays into Block Making Biz

Established in 1972 by the president Mr. Salem Saleh Al-Hareth, Salem Saleh Al-Hareth Est. (SSH Est.) is a fully Saudi owned contracting and trading company, working exclusively for Saudi Aramco as a Prime Contractor on LSTK and turnkey general construction projects. The company is well-known for quality, reliability, cost effectiveness, and also for completing projects on stipulated deadlines thereby ensuring complete satisfaction of the clients. Being professionally managed and up-to-date with the present demands and trend, SSH Est all discipline of work is carefully structured and managed from its very own experienced in-house resources.

The company is fully motivated and under derivate from the president continuously striving for improvement and new challenges. In year 2012, SSH Est. decided to expand their business into block making field, and planned to introduce a large T15 fully automatic production line for block making. Based on great deal of investigation, SSH Est. selected Quangong Machinery Co. Ltd. (QGM), the leading manufacturer of concrete machinery in China, as the supplier of block making production line.

QGM Quangong Machinery Co., Ltd., a nominated concrete machinery manufacturer by China National Ministry of Construction, established in 1979, is the leading manufacturer specialized in the design and production of plants and machinery for concrete material industry, providing integrated solutions for concrete block making, plant autoclave aerated concrete (AAC) plant and concrete mixing. Based on the application of Frequency Conversional Technology, QGM builds up its own core competitive advantages in the industry, and QGM machines are well distributed and can be found in use in more than 108 countries.

Frequency Controlled Vibration, Patented Technology

In 2012, QGM unveiled new generation T-series automatic block making machine --T10 and T15. This series of models are designed and manufactured as per highest international standard wherein the parts of the machine meet the European Standards. T-series block making machines provide stable, fast and high-performance production.

The production line for block making that SSH Est. purchased from QGM is T15 fully automatic which is able to produce about 28,800 hollow blocks of 400x 200x 200mm size, every shift (8 hours). T15 automatic block machine can produce concrete products, such as hollow blocks, pavers and curbstones, ranging from 50 to 400mm in height.

Heart of T15 block making machine—vibration system

The vibration system of T15 block machine adopts four SIEMENS motors (4x7.5 KW) for vibration table and two MVSI motors (2x5.5 KW) for top vibration to provide high vibration force. Vibration motors are S1 working mode, which means motors continue to run even when vibration stops. Therefore, no high starting current occurs. This will protect motors from damage and save energy.

Connection between vibration motors and eccentric shafts is "Soft Connection". By adopting this method, vibration tables do not get affected. Vibration damping device and air cooling system are installed under vibration motors base to protect motors.

Vibration Table Motors For Crawler

Vibration table consists of dynamic table and static table, made of high-duty HARDOX steel. It is an assembled structure, easy to assemble, disassemble and maintain. During the vibration, dynamic table vibrates while static table keeps still. This structure design guarantees the desired vibration amplitude, which is one of most important factors for producing high-quality concrete blocks. The gap between dynamic table and static table (vibration amplitude) is adjustable.

Finger Car—block transfer system

Finger Car
Finger Car
The finger car which consists of Crawler and Transfer Car is a transportation device for pallets of blocks between elevator/lowerator and curing cells. It takes wet blocks from elevator and the transfer car sends wet blocks into the curing cell. After curing, the transfer car takes out dry blocks from curing cells and sends to lowerator.

The finger car can carry 24 pallets of blocks each time (12 layers by 2 pallets per layer) and the load capacity is up to 16T. The finger car is driven by two frequency conversional motors, which provide high driving force and control the speed of finger car.

Crawler and transfer car communicate by wireless devices. Infrared device is used to measure and control the movement of Transfer car. Finger car adopts German VAHLE cable drum, which is reliable and durable.

Stacking system

The Stacker can be divided into four parts, by the structure and function: Horizontal moving device, vertical moving device, rotating device and clamping device. The horizontal, vertical and rotating devices adopt SEW frequency conversional motors. Clamping device uses hydraulic system to achieve the requirements. The movement position of the horizontal, vertical and rotating devices are inducted by approach switches, and controlled by PLC.

Servo Polishioning Control
Servo positioning control system
The speed and movement of stacker are controlled by Servo positioning control system, which controls the movement of stacker very fast, stably and precisely. Impact and damage of finished blocks can be avoided. The hydraulic station of stacker adopts Italy CASAPPA hydraulic system and BROOWE hydraulic valves.

Technical Support and Service

QGM provides integrated solutions for customer, such as feasibility study, cost and return of investment analysis, factory layout design, installation and commissioning, operator training, electrician and mechanic training and technical consultation.

QGM offers a wide range of services in the worldwide network during the entire operating life of your QGM block making machine. There are 10 overseas offices and 25 overseas warehouses, including Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Indonesia, India, etc. With specialist competence in and out of the office, the QGM service supports you in achieving your goals regarding productivity and availability of plants. QGM service does not stop with the handover of the equipment to the customer, but lasts for the life time of the machine.
