Mekuba: A Leader in Mould Releasing Agents for Concrete
Mekuba mould-releasing agent comes in two types: the water-soluble polymer emulsion MRO 5000, and the oil-based MRO 3000. The MRO 5000 is formulated to avoid sticking of concrete in the moulding booths to an extent of 97%. This non-sticking and non-staining property provides an excellent finish to the surface of concrete and reduces the occurrence of pinholes, which is a wearing issue faced by construction companies. The nano-polymer emulsion-based chemical formulation of the mould-releasing agent creates an attracting effect between the particles of the concrete, whilst simultaneously creating a repelling effect between the concrete and the surface of the mould.
“Products that generally incorporate waste engine oil, leave a black stain on the moulded concrete. MRO 5000 uses a virgin-based raw material to combat this issue and provide a stain-free fair finish. This product has been certified by Bureau Veritas,” informs Gokul, QAQC Engineer.
“As per our clients, use of MRO 5000 has led to a remarkable drop in the appearance of pinholes, which consequently reduced the need for reworks and plastering on concrete, thereby saving cost of labour, material, and time. Plus, we are offering MRO 5000 at 20-30% lesser rate than other brands of similar products in the market,” avers Gokul.
Mekuba is providing its solutions to major residential and commercial projects of pre-cast concrete. Its team of professionals visit clients’ construction sites to train the labourers, foremen, and engineers, and educate them on the product’s optimum usage. “At a given time, a mega project may require 100 barrels of MRO 5000, which we can supply within a few hours,” informs Amar, Product Manager.
Every barrel of MRO 5000 and MRO 3000 undergoes strict quality assessment tests from lab samplings to packaging and only the lab-approved products are delivered to customers. The company has a well-established supply chain and can deliver to neighbouring states within two days and to far off regions within seven days.
“Mekuba is emerging as a leader in this field due to the quality of its products and its reliable technical support and timely service to customers. The company has bagged many awards, which have further strengthened its reputation in the market for construction chemicals,” he adds.
Mekuba clients include the Bangalore and Chennai Metro; the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, and multinational conglomerate Larsen & Toubro.
