The DMRC had formally requested the land from the Delhi government in April 2019. Of the total land area, 852.3 sqm will be utilized by the DMRC for the construction of the station building, columns, entry and exit gates. Additionally, the remaining 937.5 sqm plot will serve as a temporary working area during the station's construction.
To acquire the 1,852.3 sqm of land permanently allocated for the station, the DMRC will compensate with a payment of approximately Rs 2.62 crore. Furthermore, for the usage of the 937.5 sqm plot on a temporary basis over a period of four years, the DMRC will pay Rs 26.5 lakh as lease charges.
This development marks a significant milestone in the progress of the Keshopur Metro Station project. With the land transfer approval in place, the DMRC can now proceed with the construction activities, including the establishment of the station building and essential infrastructure. The Janakpuri-Majlis Park corridor under Phase-IV will benefit greatly from this new addition, expanding the metro network and enhancing connectivity in the region.
The successful collaboration between the Delhi government and DMRC demonstrates their shared commitment to advancing public transportation infrastructure in the city. The Keshopur Metro Station will not only cater to the increasing demands of commuters but also contribute to the overall development and accessibility of Delhi's metro network.
This positive step forward reaffirms the authorities' dedication to improving urban mobility and ensuring a more sustainable and efficient transportation system for the residents of Delhi.
