MoRTH Exceeds Asset Monetisation Target, Raises ₹40,314 Cr
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) surpassed its asset monetisation target by raising ₹40,314 crore in financial year 2023-24, against the target of ₹28,968 crore. This was achieved through various modes, including ₹15,968 crore from toll-operate-transfer (TOT) bundles, ₹15,700 crore from Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), and ₹8,646 crore through securitisation. In the previous financial year, MoRTH raised ₹32,855 crore through asset monetisation. MoRTH offers opportunities for investment through toll-operate-transfer (TOT) model, Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), and project-based financing, catering to different categories of investors interested in highways and associated infrastructure assets.
