Rail line dots 52 tunnels & world’s highest bridge in NE

Jiribim-Imphal Railway Line with a length of 111-km will house world's highest pier railway bridge known as Noney Bridge and 52 tunnels between Jiribim-Imphal in Manipur. The under-construction bridge is 141-m high and 703 m long. The entire project once completed will reduce travel time from 10-12 hours to 2.5 hours.

It will also have 11 major and 129 minor bridges of which 101 have been completed. The rail line will have a total number of 11 railway stations of which 6 have been completed. The upcoming Jiribam-Imphal new rail line will bring more tourism and economic prosperity in the entire Northeastern parts of the country.
