NFR invites bids for foot overbridge construction at multiple stations in Assam
The Northeast Frontier Railway has issued a bid invitation for the construction of a foot overbridge (FOB) and other related works at multiple railway stations under the jurisdiction of Lumding division, in connection with the 'Amrit Bharat Scheme'. The construction work will include a 12-meter wide FOB, excavation, and bridge sub-structures, including piers, abutments, retaining walls, RCC box-type foundations, and bridge superstructures such as slabs, I-girders, T-girders, box girders, etc. up to 5 meters above ground level, along with other necessary components.
The railway stations that will undergo the construction work are Narangi railway station (NNGE), Narangi railway station, Jagi Road (JID), Chaparmukh junction (CPK), Haibargaon railway station (HBN), Hijli railway station (HJI), LKA, Lumding (LMG), and Sarupathar (SZR). The total contract value is Rs. 146.81 crore, and the project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
The deadline for bid submission is 15th June 2023. This development is expected to improve the infrastructure and amenities at these railway stations, providing better access and mobility for passengers.
