flyover project
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in Telangana has fast-tracked the construction work on the two steel flyovers in the Bagh Lingampally-Indira Park area involving ₹400 crore investment. The facilities include a 2.62-km four-lane bidirectional elevated corridor between Indira Park and VST being constructed at an estimated cost of ₹350 crore and an 850m three-lane bidirectional elevated corridor from Ram Nagar to Bagh Lingampally costing ₹76 crore. These two projects are being built under the State government‘s Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP). GHMC officials informed that the two flyovers offer multiple benefits and ensure a smooth commute for scores of people. They are expected to decongest traffic from Indira Park to VST Junction and Ram Nagar to Bagh Lingampally. Besides this, the project reduces travel time and allows free flow of traffic towards Hindi Maha Vidyalaya and Osmania University. The traffic through the busy RTC X-roads Junction, Indira Park X-roads, Ashok Nagar X-roads, Bagh Lingampally Junction and VST Junction would move smoothly. Most of the foundation of the Indira Park-VST flyover has been laid and the rest will be completed once the utilities passing through the spot are shifted.
MD of DMRC, Mangu Singh, informed that the corporation is all set to start tunnelling work on a parallel tunnel on the Magenta line. It is a continuation
