Sicoma Mixers India
The biggest achievement in recent times is the Make in India movement, which I am sure is benefitting the Construction Industry a lot. Sicoma India is a shining example of embracing this concept for contributing towards our nation building. We are, in fact, showcasing an entire range of India-made Mixers at bauma India 2024.
Prashanth Kumar - Executive Director, Sicoma Mixers India
How is your company driving innovation and R&D to meet the evolving demands of the construction industry for faster project delivery?
One of our most significant moves is shifting our production to India. This Make-in-India move has helped our customers a lot in terms of faster deliveries, reduced product prices, cost-effective solutions, and a firm grip on the overhaul cycle. R&D is a continuous process, and we keep introducing newer solutions from time to time to meet local requirements.
In India, we have started local production of large capacity Mixers (up to 6M3 in Twin Shaft Mixers and up to 2M3 in Planetary Mixers). These large capacity Mixers are being used in large scale infrastructure projects which are time bound. Due to reduced prices of these large capacity Mixers (on account of local manufacturing) we have seen a significant rise in enquiries and sales.

In a competitive market, what key parameters would you recommend buyers evaluate when selecting products and finalizing a brand?
Since we are discussing construction machines, particularly Concrete Mixers, it is very important for the OEM and project executioners to select the right brand of Mixer since an entire chain of other machineries, processes, services, and manpower are lined up for execution after the Concrete Mixer. So, a trouble-free Mixer from a reputable brand with an extremely good after-sales support is very essential. This is where Sicoma as a global brand excels.
What advanced technologies is the company using to enhance its product line?
Digitization is playing an important role in today’s world where processes are getting connected digitally. We have introduced IoT on our Mixers to monitor performance parameters from centralised locations. This helps us and our customers keep a tab on the health of our Mixers from time to time, draw analytics, study operational issues, etc.
How are you ensuring timely product and spare part availability, and enhancing your customer services?
As OEM Mixer suppliers, we conduct a regular 2-day training program for our OEM Technical Staff at our factory premises. During the course of the program, our specialised staff trains the attendees on all aspects of Mixer maintenance, and also give on-hands experience to the attendees.
We provide video call support on maintenance to staff undertaking maintenance jobs on project sites. We have based our service and support personnel in high concentration regions to provide quick support in case of critical requirements. In fact, our after-sales support is amongst our biggest strengths.
