Wirtgen Group's Kleeman crushing manufacturing unit is located in Goppingen. It is close to industrial town of Stuttgart housing Bosh and other major industrial establishments including Mercedes Benz. The factory was founded by Ferdinand Kleeman in 1857. The business entity was acquired by Wirtgen Group in 2006.

The unit manufactures Kleeman's Mobicat, Mobicone, Mobirex and Mobifox series of tracked crushers. It is instrumental for Wirtgen to make it attain the company's targeted 12 percent global market share in crushing business among the estimated volumes of 5000 units in the global market. Complete with in house facility to manufacture the crushers with production facilities, with shot blasting unit, welding and paint shop, featuring lean manufacturing, the facility is ready to manufactures entire range of Kleeman crushers, mainly the 'EVO' series of tracked crushers, featuring diesel-electric drives. The company proposes to introduce the units with a capacity of 200 tph in Indian market in the near future.

Speaking to NBM&CW, Mr. Clive Mc Keown, Asia-Pacific, Sales Manager, Kleeman GmbH said, "The crushers are robust, easy to transport owing to lower to power ratio and above all much easier to operate." He mentioned, "Our business philosophy has been to remain close to our customers through maintaining constant interaction with them. Globally newer mineral deposits are being explored led by the requirement of various mineral based industries. However, successful exploration of the deposits leading to proper utilization of the mineral output will have to be supported by economical and quality mining solutions. This has to be essentially through right product placement with high uptime. This has been the cause, as we do the entire production activity of the crushers in-house to reduce defect and put in place our own quality standards."

Mr. McKeown added "Led by the rising demand potential, we are expanding the production capacity of the Klemann crushing units." He said, "The reputed crushing brand has found an encouraging acceptance globally with more than 383 units sold in 2013 spanning Brazil, US, Europe, Middle East, Australia and Africa up from 168 units in 2010 and 262 in 2011." He mentioned, "Taking note of newer requirements of the aggregate sector, we will be developing new generation of jaw crushers with overall product development thrust being in developing mobile crushing solutions based on the emerging requirements of the road construction sector, which asks for lower operating costs in getting the aggregates and flexibility in operation."
