At the conclusion of Excon 2007 on November 18, 2007 and its other events coinciding with it, a feeling of deep satisfaction was writ large on the faces of the organizers, exhibitors, visitors and the industry. For the organizers, it was a job well done. A mega show of various construction equipment and services presented under one roof, meticulously planned and efficiently executed which worked like a well oiled machinery. For the exhibitors, it was a worthwhile exhibiting experience, indeed heartening to have a large number of enquiries about their products and services. Enquiries turning into orders and negotiations culminating into business deals and inking of agreements, bringing all the cheers despite encountering heavy traffic holdups in the way to reach the venue. For the visitors, it was good to see a wide variety of displays and hitech audio visual presentations. The Lighter Side of Excon 2007

Reaching Bangalore International Exhibition Centre proved to be an uphill task for the delegates, exhibitors from city hotels. To and fro journey was a tedious one due to traffic snarls and weak connectivity as the main road was full of potholes giving a bones rattling experience until one reached the destination to have a sign of relief. All were really Bangalored by this experience.
  • The city is plagued by several infrastructural problems. Inadequate road networks–more than half the roads in the city are one-way, but despite this, gridlocks are commonwas the experience. Aesthetically developed and landscaped, the venue of Excon 2007, wore a festive look, with banners, flags, buntings, special arch gates, ballons, backdrops, hoardings with dazzling array of special effects, dotting the vast area, imparting it a friendly ambience to the visitors who thronged the venue. Added to it were food courts which made a real killing.
  • Excon 2007 provided ample moments of recreation, fun and frolick to the visitors visiting stalls, a relief from the busy and hurried city life. Culture evening at the venue captured all with awe-inspiring performances.
  • Innovative ways and means were adopted by the exhibitors to engage the attention of visitors. The exhibitors, big and small, vied with each other to woo the visitors, applying all the techniques of sales promotion to strike a cordial chord. While some welcomed the visitors with their best give-away advertising items and goodies, other organized special visits to their nearby facilities. Some entertained the visitors with hi-tech audio-visuals presentations on screens, the others through computerized slide shows.
  • But it was those smart exhibitors who stole the thunder by having unique fetes performed by their equipment. They made their equipment to play games, perform merry-gorounds, acrobatics and choreographed maneuvers with music, keeping the visitors glued to them tapping their toes and shaking their legs and fully enthralled during the shows.
