X-Liner®: New Extruding Technology by Echo Precast Engineering
Echo Precast Engineering develops and constructs machines and equipment for the production of pre-stressed concrete products, especially hollow core slabs. Over the years, Echo Precast Engineering gained an international reputation for their technical know-how and engineering services. So far, Echo Precast Engineering was well-known for its Slipformer, but now the company also offers an extruding machine, the new X-Liner®.
Since October 2012, Echo Precast Engineering has been part of the PROGRESS GROUP, along with EBAWE, progress Maschinen & Automation and tecnocom. The product portfolios of the four mechanical engineering companies complement each other in an ideal way and this is the synergy that makes the Progress Group one of the most diversified suppliers of the precast industry.
Following the market needs, Echo Precast Engineering now offers the new Extruder X-Liner® which delivers a new standard in terms of material savings, maintenance and life cycle.

New compaction system, high flexibility, and low maintenance costs
In order to achieve cement savings to enhance profitability, Echo Precast Engineering has developed Core Compaction. Compared to traditional Shear Compaction this new technology allows to use less water and less cement while maintaining concrete strength. Furthermore, Core Compaction avoids slippage of strands.
Today's precast market requires small production lot sizes and an almost infinite variety of hollow core slabs. A quick change-over from one product type to another is therefore crucial. The X-Liner® allows a complete form change-over in less than 30 minutes, carried out by one machine operator.
Another important aspect are low maintenance efforts and costs. The X-Liner® has only a minimum of moving parts and thus a minimum of wearing parts.

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication"
Based on this credo, Echo Precast Engineering designed and realized the X-Liner®. Complexity was reduced while reliability was improved. A long life cycle is ensured thanks to the X-Liner's® robust and simple construction as well as its few wearing parts.
