Tubular Construction is one of the latest technologies and is growing rapidly. APL Apollo is the first company in India to produce ready square box sections of 500x500mm and 20mm thickness, which make tubular construction faster, better, and more efficient. The company is now coming up with a new facility in Raipur-Chhattisgarh for producing these box sections.

Earlier, these sections of large diameter were made manually, and the heavy plates were transported, stored, cut, and welded from all four sides. This increased the overall time of the project which led to an increase in project cost, and quality was sometimes compromised.

APL Apollo is now using cutting-edge technology to make these ready box sections on time and with the required quality and uniformity. The company has the capacity to produce large quantities of tubes in a day (cut to the desired length), with minimum wastage, and less lead time.

Machine-made tubes have better uniformity and quality assurance as compared to the manually welded box sections. APL Apollo’s Direct Forming technology ensures minimum wastage, lower lead time, and cut to length sizes, so that fabrication is easier.

More Carpet Area: Other sections require RCC encasing to get smoother edges and appealing aesthetics, and additionally, shuttering and de-shuttering are required to support the structure. Square hollow sections have smooth edges and better aesthetics than I-sections. They do not require encasing or shuttering, and to get the best results, concrete can be filled inside the tube to give more space in the structure.

No Fabrication at Site: Structural Steel Tubes reduce the overall fabrication time as APL tubes are prefabricated, precisely engineered, and cut to length. There is little or no onsite fabrication required; which accelerates the construction process.

Environment Friendly: The construction sector contributes 30% of direct and indirect CO2 emissions. Structural steel is preferred for construction as steel is infinitely recyclable and is easy to pre-fabricate.
