NCL Industries Limited, a brain child of Sri K. Ramachandra Raju who was running a small scale industry at Hyderabad. During late 1970's when government of Andhra Pradesh invited Private participation in cement industry, Mr. Raju was one of the first to establish a mini cement plant in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh. Later Mr.Raju wanted to diversify into other innovative building materials with best of technologies adopted from around the world and steered this industry to the current status through sheer professionalism and unfailing quest for quality consciousness.
Over a period of time NCL transformed into a popular group producing quality products for Building Industry with technology drawn from Japan, Germany, Sweden, Italy and Austria. The 200 TPD cement plant was expanded in phases to the current level of 2 million tons per annum capacity by setting up additional grinding unit of 3000 TPD capacity at Kondapalli in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. The Plants at Simhapuri and Kondapalli have been equipped with energy saving, pollution free and highly efficient machinery with centralized operation with Digital Control System. Kondapalli plant has its own railway siding facility for transporting Cement to other states and is now well entrenched in states like Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Orissa where it is currently recor- ding brisk business. The company produces cement under the brand name 'Nagarjuna Cement' which is a established as a premium brand because of its quality.
Apart from cement manufacturing, NCL later on also diversified into making Cement Bonded Particle Boards with brand name Bison Panels in Technical Collaboration with Bison Werke of Germany. As the wood used in this panel is plantation wood like Eucalyptus, the Indian Green Building Council has classified Bison Panel as Eco friendly. The superior qualities of fire and weather resistance and termite proof made the Board versatile for interior as well as exterior applications. The board is used for partitions, false ceilings, wall cladding, fixed furniture and after adding certain additions it also started making laminating Bison Panels by developing and designing necessary machinery and equipment on its own. One of the prime applications for Bison Panels is its use in Drywall system adopted in many countries for the construction of panel and modular houses.
With continuous R&D efforts, NCL has developed number of designs for Prefab Structure using Bison Panels suiting Indian conditions. The shelters gained popularity with several reputed organizations in private and public sectors including defence for instant housing solutions for project housing. All the divisions – viz., Cement, Boards and Prefab are all certified under ISO 9001-2008. The products of NCL are marketed through a network of over 3500 dealers operated through 12 regional offices across the country.
