L&T Construction secures Rs 2,500-cr EPC contracts
L&T Construction's Buildings and Factories business segment has won EPC contracts worth approximately Rs 2,500 crore. The company has secured orders to construct commercial towers at two locations in Mumbai. The project entails the construction of four-level basements and two towers, spanning 70 floors and 50 floors respectively, with a total built-up area of 3.4 million sq ft. The completion period for the project is set at 40 months.
Prior to these contracts, L&T Construction had successfully secured significant orders both domestically and in offshore markets. Its Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) wing has received substantial orders on the EPC model. In Saudi Arabia, the business has obtained two orders for the installation of 380kV overhead power transmission lines, connecting prominent cities along the Red Sea coast. Additionally, another order involves the design, supply, and construction of a 380kV substation in the central region of Saudi Arabia.
In India, the PT&D business of L&T Construction has continued its successful streak in the Revamped Reforms Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector (RDSS) Scheme projects. The company has recently secured fresh orders from a renowned Gujarat DISCOM, entailing the modernization and development of distribution infrastructure across three districts in the southern fringes of the state.
