
The state government has also cleared preliminary TP scheme 57 Pandesara for Surat city and TP scheme 32 Shampura under the Bhavnagar Area Development Authority. The Ahmedabad TP schemes will also see the construction of 23,700 economically weaker section (EWS) housing units, with 25.05 hectares reserved for public spaces and parks, and another 20.73 hectares for social and public amenities. In Ahmedabad, an area of 89.95 hectares will be sold to finance infrastructure and other facilities, while 20.40 hectares will be sold under the TP schemes of Surat and Bhavnagar.
The state government has stated that 567 EWS housing units will be constructed in Pandesara area of Surat city, and 3,300 EWS units will be constructed in Bhavnagar. The Chief Minister has directed the urban development department to fast-track the town planning schemes across cities and towns. These TP schemes are expected to provide more affordable housing options and improve public spaces and amenities, further enhancing the infrastructure of these cities.
