First Phase of Noida Airport Development to cost ₹10,056-cr
Scheduled to open for flight operations in September, the first phase spans 1,300 hectares. Discussions were held with Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Zurich International Airport AG, the project's concessionaire.
During the meeting, YIAPL indicated that construction of the terminal building, ATC tower, and runway is ongoing as per the development plan. They assured increased machinery and workforce deployment to meet deadlines. The development cost for the first phase is estimated at ₹10,056 crore, with over 70% of expenditure already incurred, including land acquisition and development.
In its initial stage, the airport, coded DXN, will feature one runway and a terminal capable of handling 12 million passengers annually.
